About Southfield Landscaping

Newfield Township takes its snow from the lake, off the water and over the fruit country before it comes down here in the hills above the White River. Some nights it arrives fine and dry and slides across the open roads; other nights it lands heavy and wet and packs itself hard onto a drive. We plow both kinds, clear walks and steps to the concrete, and salt the places that glaze when the sun works on them at noon and the cold takes them back at dusk. Long country drives are opened their whole length, and the ground in front of the mailbox gets cleared so the carrier can reach it. What you want on a Hesperia winter morning is a black, open driveway with the woods still white on either side of it.
