About Mountain Ridge Landscape

The best hour of a summer day is the last one — the sky goes copper, then rose, then the color fades altogether and the air cools all at once. Mountain Ridge Landscape times a good deal of its work to the edges of the day, mowing before the heat and trimming as the light goes long, because turf would rather not be cut at two in the afternoon. Lawns get striped even, borders held crisp against walk and drive, beds weeded, and cleanups run in spring and again after the leaves come down. There is a particular pleasure in stepping back from a finished yard while the sprinklers start and the swallows come out over it. The sky handles the scenery; the yard only has to hold its own.
