The ground under Muskegon Heights is old dune sand — patient, thirsty, and quick to let go of whatever falls on it. Earth Stewards LLC mows, trims, edges and cleans up lawns across the Heights, working with what that soil actually is rather than against it. Spring arrives here under fog off the water, and the first cuts happen while the mornings are still gray and cool enough to see your breath. Through the summer, a weekly mow and a tight trim line keep a yard even from the front sidewalk to the back fence. Autumn work moves the leaves off before they smother the turf they fell on.
