989 Lawn Care

About 989 Lawn Care

The 989 covers a lot of ground — beet fields and gravel section roads laid out on the mile grid, farmsteads set back behind windbreak maples. 989 Lawn Care keeps lawns inside that grid around Mount Pleasant: weekly mowing, a trimmed line along the drive, edges cut clean where turf gives way to gravel. Mid-Michigan summers come on humid and open-handed, and grass here can put on a week's growth in three days after a warm rain. There is real satisfaction in pulling into a yard that has gotten ahead of itself and leaving it striped flat and even, the clippings blown off the walk. Sandhill cranes call over the fields all season long; the mower is the other sound of an Isabella County July.
