East of Midland the beet trucks start rolling in October and the fields go from green to brown to that particular open, waiting look. Maksymum Lawn and Landscaping follows the same calendar at a smaller scale — mowing and trimming all summer, then cleanups, leaf hauling and a last cut before the ground hardens. After that the plow goes on and the work turns nocturnal: driveways pushed, walks cleared, ice knocked down with salt at first light. Wind out here can undo a driveway in twenty minutes, which is why the route gets run twice. Harvest light in October, headlights in January.
