About C.M.Excavating LLC

The fields around Merrill run flat to every horizon, and in January the wind uses all that open ground to build drifts across driveways overnight. C.M.Excavating, an excavation company that knows how to move material, puts that know-how into snow removal for its hometown in western Saginaw County. The blade drops while the grain bins are still black shapes against a pink-gray dawn, and it doesn't lift until the lane is wide and the banks are shoved well back. Out here a cleared drive is a small act of defiance against a sky that can blow snow sideways for hours. Once the school buses start their rounds, the road out is already open.
