Snow Busters

About Snow Busters

A storm coming up out of the southwest reaches the open stretch of US-41 outside Menominee first, and by the time it works its way into the streets it has had all night to build. Snow Busters keeps the hours in between — after the last county pass, before the first cup of coffee. Driveways plowed end to end, business lots opened ahead of the doors unlocking, walkways and entries scraped down so boots find something solid. Winter up here isn't an event, it's the standing condition from November on, and the only real answer to it is turning out again and again. What that buys is an ordinary morning, everybody getting where they meant to go.
