About E.v Roofing LLC
Melvindale wakes early, and in January it wakes in the dark. E.v Roofing LLC works the snow side of that hour — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and steps, spreading salt on the ice that sets up overnight on the side streets off Allen Road. There is a plain pleasure in finishing a drive before the first car needs it, in the clean gray rectangle left where six inches used to be. This is a compact Downriver city, barely three square miles of brick bungalows and narrow drives, and every one of them has to be opened up by somebody. When the blade lifts and the truck rolls toward the next address, the hum of I-75 is still the only other sound.
