About Yard Builders LLC

Marquette wakes up under Lake Superior's mood, and Yard Builders LLC is out in it before the streetlights give up. Lake-effect comes off the big water in long grey curtains and lays a foot on Third Street overnight, so the plow work starts in the dark — driveways opened, walks cut clean, a path to the door that a person can take in slippers. Then the thaw runs down toward the ore dock, the Iron Ore Heritage Trail turns soft, and the same crew trades blades for mowers. Summer up here is short and bright, all the more reason a lawn should be striped even, the edges drawn crisp along the walk, the clippings gone before evening light stretches over the harbor. There is real satisfaction in a yard that looks like somebody cared, and in a drive that was already open when the coffee was still hot.
