SNOWWIZZARD'S Snow Removal

About SNOWWIZZARD'S Snow Removal

When a northeast wind lines up over open water, Marquette disappears — streetlights go to smudges and the road becomes something you follow by memory. SNOWWIZZARD'S Snow Removal goes out into exactly that: plowing driveways, shoveling steps and doorways, spreading salt and sand where ice has set beneath the drifts. Lake-effect doesn't so much fall as accumulate, band after band, so a route here gets run and then run again before the night is over. The good moment comes near dawn, when the wind eases and there is a clean rectangle of pavement where a foot of snow used to be. Somebody opens a door, looks at it, and gets to work on time.
