Northland Greenery

About Northland Greenery

North of town the hardwood ridges climb toward Sugarloaf, and the yards beneath them live in dappled shade and thin, sandy ground. Northland Greenery works with what that gives: mowing at the height shaded grass actually wants, trimming out along the woods' edge, edging beds so the forest and the lawn each know where they stand. Leaves come down heavy under maples like these, so autumn is a genuine season of labor rather than an afterthought. The spring clearing is the other half, opening the ground back up to light after months beneath the drifts. In between there is a lawn that looks at home in the woods instead of borrowed from somewhere flatter.
