About JC Companies

The ore dock stands black against the water at the north end of town, and on a January night the wind off Superior comes straight past it into every parking lot in Marquette. JC Companies runs the night shift against that wind — plowing commercial lots, stacking snow where it won't blind a driveway, opening walks and treating ice at the doors long before anyone's shift starts. Big lots have their own logic: where the piles go in December decides whether there is room left in March. Headlights, a blade, and an empty acre of white slowly turning back into asphalt. Morning arrives to a lot that simply works, which is the entire point.
