Green Mantis Maintenance

About Green Mantis Maintenance

Late-summer mornings in Marquette arrive under a lake fog that hangs in the birches out toward Presque Isle and burns off around nine. Green Mantis Maintenance is already out in it, mowing while the grass is still cool, trimming tight along fence lines and foundations, edging back where turf has crept over the concrete. A lawn on this shore grows in short greedy bursts between cold snaps, so the work is really about rhythm — same day, same height, no scalped corners. Autumn brings the leaf work: beds cleared, the lawn taken down for its long sleep under the snow. What's left behind is a yard that looks deliberate, right out to its edges.
