About sweet cut grass

Manistique's streets run square and shaded, and on a July evening the whole town smells like fresh clippings. sweet cut grass mows those yards on a schedule, trimming the fence corners and edging where the grass tries to creep out across the walk. This far north the summer is a sprint — the lawns get ten fast weeks and use every one of them. Spring and fall cleanups take care of the rest, opening the season and then closing it down. A level cut, a swept sidewalk, a lawn that makes the front porch look better than it did yesterday.
