Rogers Excavating

About Rogers Excavating

The open country between Mancelona and Alba gives the wind a running start, and by afternoon a north blow can lay a drift clean across a driveway. Rogers Excavating meets that with snow removal — plowing, banking the piles back where they will not blind a corner, and clearing walks down to the concrete. Northern Michigan snow is patient; it comes in small amounts most days and in enormous amounts a few times a winter, and both have to be handled. There is a quiet pride in a yard opened wide, corners squared, nothing left to catch a tire. Then the next storm arrives and it begins again, which is simply how winter works here.
