Along US-131 a squall can drop visibility to a truck length and be gone ten minutes later, and everything in Mancelona township gets buried a little deeper each time. Snow Plowing M.I. runs through it: driveways plowed, lots pushed back, walks cleared, ice treated where the afternoon melt refreezes at dusk. Nights up here are long enough to run a whole route twice, and on some nights that is exactly what happens. Pushing the banks back wide in December is what keeps a drive usable in February. It is cold, plain work, and there is satisfaction in every clean approach.
