The River Raisin runs through Adrian just north of here, and the township's year keeps the same two-part calendar it always has: things grow, then things freeze. March and November are the interesting weeks, when a mower deck and a plow blade can both come off the truck in the same seven days. What holds it together is the standard: cut lines straight, drives taken down to pavement, walks safe underfoot. A property tended all year never has to be rescued.
