About Shank Lawn Care

Midsummer in St. Joseph County comes on heavy — heat standing over the corn, cicadas going all afternoon, grass adding an inch a day after a rain. Shank Lawn Care works Lockport Township straight through it, cutting on a turn that never lets a lawn get ahead, then trimming and edging until the yard has borders again. Feeding and weed control hold the turf steady through the dry weeks, when a neglected lawn goes patchy fast. April and October bring the cleanups, the two hinges the whole year swings on. Late in the evening, with the last drive blown off and the mower loaded, a fresh-cut yard along a township road is a genuinely good sight.
