Two seasons, two alarms. In winter, Stay Green Lawn Maintenance is out on the Lathrup Village side streets before the Twelve Mile traffic builds, plowing and shoveling drives and walks, clearing the apron the city plow packs in at the curb, treating ice where a shaded walk stays slick past noon. In summer the same addresses get mowing, trimming and edging, along with the cleanups that open spring and close fall. Winters in this part of Oakland County arrive in short sharp shots rather than long sieges, so the work is about being early rather than being long. A cleared drive at six in the morning and a striped lawn in July are the same promise kept in different weather.
