About E.J Enterprise

A clipper comes down out of Canada with almost no warning, and by three in the morning the open beet ground north of Lapeer is moving sideways across the road. E.J Enterprise is out in it, plowing, stacking and cutting drives and lots back to pavement, then coming around again once the drifts rebuild behind the wind. Snow in this county is rarely deep so much as it is relentless and endlessly rearranged. The measure of a night is simple: whether someone can back out at six and go to work without thinking about it once. Doing that, storm after storm, is the job.
