About Lowe Brothers Outdoor Services

October around Owosso smells like grain dust, and the combines run past dark with their lights up in the fields at the edge of town. Lowe Brothers Outdoor Services works that same stretch of the calendar — the last mowings, the fall cleanups, the edges recut before everything goes dormant — and then keeps right on going when the fields lie bare and the first snow finds them. Winter is driveways, walks and lots, opened early enough that nobody has to plan around them. There is a rural practicality to Shiawassee County that suits this trade: you look at what needs doing and do it before you are asked twice. What gets left behind is a place that looks tended, which is the only advertisement worth having.
