Newman Tree Service

About Newman Tree Service

L'Anse sits at the head of Keweenaw Bay with the Huron Mountains standing off to the northeast and the Sturgeon River cutting its gorge south of town toward Canyon Falls. Winter here is long, dark and generous with snow, and it tests every tree in every yard. Newman Tree Service works right through it — taking out the ones that split, pruning the ones worth keeping, trimming crowns back off cabins and camp roofs. Removals happen in tight ground between the woods and the water, let down on a line instead of felled. And when the wind hauls across the open bay and puts a spruce top through the woodshed roof, the wood gets bucked, the brush gets hauled, and the walk is clear again.
