Backwoods Lawn Care

About Backwoods Lawn Care

Out past the jack pines, a Kalkaska lawn is something a family carved out of the woods on purpose, and it deserves to be kept that way. Backwoods Lawn Care mows, trims and edges those clearings on the two-track side of the township, where the grass runs right up to a wall of pine and the sand starts an inch below the roots. Summer here is short and bright, so a June week can add three inches overnight and the mowing has to keep up. Come fall the same yards fill with needles and oak leaf, and cleanup is what hands the lawn back to spring. The result is simple and worth the drive: a clean green room with the north woods standing at the edge of it.
