MIAVA PROPERTY MAINTENANCE

About MIAVA PROPERTY MAINTENANCE

Down toward Portage, on the old celery ground where the land lies flat and the wind crosses it unbothered, a January night can fill a driveway to the door handles. MIAVA PROPERTY MAINTENANCE plows through that flat country dark: drives opened, lots pushed back, walks and entries shoveled, salt down on the ice that forms wherever melt drains. Snow blown off open ground packs harder than snow that falls straight, and it takes a second and a third pass to earn a clean surface. The job is finished when pavement is showing and the banks sit far enough back for the next storm. Then the headlights swing out and the route goes on.
