About C-S Lawn Care and Service, LLC

The Edison side wakes early — trucks moving on Portage Street, the creek running low behind the yards, sun coming through porch rails at a low angle. C-S Lawn Care and Service, LLC starts its route about then, mowing yard after yard while the dew burns off, trimming the corners a mower can't reach, edging walks and drives back into a line. A route is a kind of loyalty: the same houses, the same day, whether the grass is racing in June or barely moving in the heat of late July. Kalamazoo lawns tell you exactly how a summer has gone, and one kept on schedule holds its color longer. Left behind at every stop: cut grass, clean pavement, nothing to sweep up.
