About Barefoot Lawn LLC

The name says what a lawn is actually for. Near Kleinstuck Preserve, where the marsh cools the air a few degrees and the maples close over Oakland Drive, a yard cut and trimmed on Friday is a place kids run across without shoes the next afternoon. Barefoot Lawn LLC keeps it that way: mowing at a height the grass can live with, trimming close around trees and beds, edging the walks, clearing the cuttings before leaving. Kalamazoo summers run humid and green, and turf here will take everything you give it. The evidence of the work is a lawn nobody comments on — soft, level, even, ready to be walked on.
