About Advantage Outdoor Services

On the west side, where Drake Road runs down past Asylum Lake and the oaks throw long shadows by seven in the evening, a lawn finished late in August holds its stripes like a page ruled clean. Advantage Outdoor Services works both halves of the Kalamazoo year: mowing, trimming and edging while the ground is soft, plowing and salting once the drives go white. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass along a curb, when the line between grass and pavement becomes a decision rather than a suggestion. Winter asks for the same thing in colder language — a driveway opened before the first car needs it, walks taken down to the concrete. The valley weather changes its mind often here, and the work simply follows it.
