Blonde's Lawn Care

About Blonde's Lawn Care

The St. Joseph River slows behind the dam at Jonesville and holds the whole town's morning light on its surface. Blonde's Lawn Care works the streets that climb away from that water — mowing, trimming and edging through the long green middle of the year, then clearing snow from those same driveways once the river runs black between white banks. There is real satisfaction in a lawn cut evenly enough that the stripes follow the slope of the yard, and in a walk shoveled clean while the porch light is still the brightest thing on the block. Summer here smells like cut grass and warm asphalt along the old Chicago Road; winter smells like nothing at all, which is its own kind of clean. Same yards, same attention, all the way around the calendar.
