About Ojeda's Landscaping & Tree Service

Summer evenings in Jefferson let go of the heat around seven, the swallows come out over the hayfield, and cut grass carries its smell a long way down a gravel road. Ojeda's Landscaping & Tree Service is often still working then, finishing a lawn — mowing even passes, trimming tight to the posts and the porch, sweeping the walk before heading on. Rural yards run large and irregular, with slopes, culverts and tree lines to work around, and a good finish means paying attention to all of it. Cleanups take the yard apart and put it back together at both ends of the season, once when the ground dries and once when the leaves are down. The work is ordinary and the results are not, which seems a fair trade.
