Swager's

About Swager's

On a clear night after a storm the back roads toward Hanover and Horton go blue under the moon, and every driveway along them is a problem waiting for morning. Swager's works those hours, plowing lanes open, backdragging away from the garage door, cutting a path across to the porch. Wide turnarounds matter out that way, and so does putting the banks where they will not blind a driver pulling onto the road. Salt goes down on the walks and on the steep pitch of a drive. Morning comes, and the way out is simply there.
