Jackson has answered to the name Rose City for a long while, and every June the old plantings around town make the case all over again. Rose City Lawn & Garden works both sides of a yard: turf mown even and edged clean, and the garden itself given real attention, beds weeded, mulch renewed, perennials cut back on the right week rather than the convenient one. Summer runs on the mowing schedule and October runs on leaves. Once the beds are asleep under snow, the trucks come back with plows and salt to keep the drives and walks open. A garden and a lawn are one place, and it shows plainly when both are tended.
