On summer evenings the lit falls at Sparks Foundation County Park draw half of Jackson out to sit on the grass and watch water come down in colored light. ABC Lawn Maintenance and Snow Plowing works the hours on either side of that picture — the early mow, the trimmed line along a walk, the strip by the mailbox squared off so the whole yard reads as cared for. When the calendar turns and the streets go white, the same trucks come back for plowing, opening a drive wide enough that a car can swing in without a second try. Two halves of one Jackson year, grass and snow, handled by the same hands on the same roads. The pride is in the finish: a lawn that looks tended from the sidewalk, a driveway you can cross without picking your steps.
