About U.P. Tree Services, LLC

Ishpeming was built over iron and the ground still says so — rock close under the topsoil, hills pitching down to Teal Lake, pine and maple holding on wherever a root can find a seam. U.P. Tree Services, LLC works those slopes and the old streets below the ski jumps, where houses sit close together and there is rarely a clean place to put a stem. Removals come down in pieces, each one guided to a landing spot about the size of a car hood. Trimming and pruning clear the roofline and take out deadwood before the first heavy snowfall of the season finds it. On the morning after a big wind, the job is limbs pulled off the porch roof and the sidewalk cut open so people can get to the street.
