Ironwood is known for the other half of the calendar, but the green months on the Gogebic Range are worth showing up for — long light, cool nights, and grass that grows like it knows the season is short. Between the ore-country ridges and the Montreal River, with Lake Superior a few miles north, a lawn here gets one summer and makes everything of it.
