About Powell Outdoor Services

Come six on a summer evening, Inkster's grid of postwar streets fills with the sound of mowers finishing up and screen doors letting the cool in. Powell Outdoor Services belongs to that hour — mowing, trimming and edging small city lots, hauling off the clippings, keeping front yards square with the sidewalk. When the season turns, the same routes get run the other way: plows on the drives, shovels on the steps, salt down ahead of the overnight freeze. Winters in this part of the county are more gray than white, but the days that do deliver arrive fast, and the trucks are out before the morning commute. Familiar blocks, steady hands, and a yard that always looks tended.
