Jay's Services & Lawn

About Jay's Services & Lawn

There is a particular hour in a Midland County summer when the heat stacks into thunderheads west of Hemlock and everything goes still and green before the rain. Jay's Services & Lawn works that hour — mowing ahead of the weather, edging the drive, running the string trimmer down the fenceline where the field grass tries to lean in. Wind crosses open country here with nothing to slow it, so lawns dry fast and grow in bursts, and keeping up means showing up on the day rather than when it is convenient. The reward is how a place reads from the road: stripes laid even, beds trimmed away, clippings off the concrete. Spring and fall bring the bigger job of raking a yard back to itself, corner to corner.
