Kennedy's Property Maintenance

About Kennedy's Property Maintenance

Snow tends to fall quietly here, over the cul-de-sacs and the long rural drives of Huron Charter Township, mostly after everyone has gone to bed. Kennedy's Property Maintenance meets it while it is still coming down — plowing driveways open, shoveling steps and walkways, and salting the spots that turn slick once the temperature drops overnight. The township's flat ground lets the wind push snow into drifts against garage doors and along fence lines, so the work is as much about where the pile ends up as how quickly it moves. Morning is the report card: black pavement, a bare path to the door, a car that pulls out without a fight. It is an unglamorous sort of pride, and it carries all winter.
