Andy's Tree Service

About Andy's Tree Service

The old rail line through Howard City has gone quiet and green — it is the White Pine Trail now, running north under a rough hem of maple and ash. Andy's Tree Service works the yards on either side of it, out toward Tamarack Lake and the section roads off US-131. Spring is for pruning, when the frost lets go and the shape of a tree is still bare enough to read. Removals come out of tight village lots one limb at a time, and trimming keeps low branches off the porch roof and the mailbox. After a west wind tears through and lays a limb over the fence, they cut it clear, load the brush out, and leave the grass showing again.
