Sweet Snow Removal

About Sweet Snow Removal

By March, Houghton has been counting snowfall since October, the banks along the drives stand taller than the mailboxes, and still it keeps coming — right through the weeks when sap is running in the maples down toward Chassell. The late season is where this work really tells. Sweet Snow Removal plows and pushes the banks back, keeps drives and walks open, clears steps and doorways, and salts the meltwater that turns solid the moment the sun drops behind the hill. A storm in April is nobody's favorite thing, but a driveway cleared in April feels earned. That last push before the ground finally shows through again is a fine day's work in Houghton and the towns around it.
