About LJJ Construction LLC

The old rock piles around Houghton go soft and rounded under February snow, and the mine roads threading between them fill in overnight without any help from anybody. Snow removal in copper country amounts to a standing appointment with the sky. LJJ Construction LLC plows drives and parking areas, opens walkways and doorways, and salts where the melt-and-freeze cycle keeps coming back around. Some winters the banks along a driveway climb high enough that moving snow becomes a question of where there's still room left to put it — a planning problem, and a satisfying one to solve well. A drive that stays open all season, storm after storm after storm, is the real measure of the work.
