About Better Yards Landscaping

The soil around Houghton Lake is sandy and quick to drain, and the jack pine and red pine stand right up against the lawns, dropping needles onto the grass all summer long. Better Yards Landscaping works with that instead of against it: mowing and trimming on a rhythm the sandy ground can actually carry, edging where turf meets drive, and cleanups when the pines and hardwoods let go in spring and fall. Come winter the same properties need plowing, walkways opened up, and salt on the ice that forms overnight along the shaded north side of a house. Plenty of these are places people love and don't live in year-round, so what matters is a yard that looks tended whether or not anybody happens to be watching. That's the job.
