North of Holly the land opens into fields and woodlots, and by early October the wind coming across them carries leaves from a mile away and drops them in somebody's yard. Driftwood Landscape LLC meets that head-on: leaves cleared, beds cut back, the last mows taken even so nothing mats down under the first wet snow. In the green months it is regular cutting, trim work along fence lines, mulch renewed, edges reset where the turf has crept. Then the plow goes on, and the drives out along the gravel roads get opened wide with the walks shoveled and salt down at the steps. Working this ground means finishing one season completely before the next one is allowed to start.
