Holly Township sits on old glacial hills, and in January the north wind finds every gravel road that crosses them. Buzzcuts Services LLC works those roads in the dark, plowing driveways long enough to lose sight of the house, cutting a path to the door, putting salt on the steps so the first person out doesn't have to think about it. Come May the same hills go soft and green and the blades come off for mowers — the cut, the edge, the trim, the tidy-up that makes a lawn look deliberate. There is pride in both halves of that: a driveway opened before the school bus, a lawn striped even across a slope. The hills make it harder here, which is exactly why the result shows.
