Perma Green

About Perma Green

April in Holland is measured in tulips — millions of them going up in the parks and street beds while the lawns are still deciding whether to wake. Perma Green works the green part of the year: mowing, fertilizing, weed control, trimming and edging, so a yard comes back thick and even instead of thin and patchy. There is a particular week in May when everything grows at once and the whole town smells like cut grass and lake air. The pleasure of it is the line — the clean edge along a walk, mower stripes running true across a front yard, the seam where turf stops and mulch begins. Lawn care in Holland and the towns around it, first mow to last leaf.
