Blake's Lawn Maintenance

About Blake's Lawn Maintenance

Morning comes off Baw Beese Lake in a low sheet of mist that hangs in the yards along the water until about eight, and then the day is bright and the grass is finally dry enough to cut. Hillsdale is hill country in the honest sense — glacial ground that rolls — so no two lawns lie flat the same way and the mower has to learn each slope on its own terms. Blake's Lawn Maintenance mows, trims and edges through the season, with cleanups to open the year and close it. A cut lawn on a rise, its stripes following the contour instead of fighting it, is a genuinely good thing to stand and look at. That's the aim every single week.
