Highland Township is glacier country — Haven Hill standing green above the recreation area, oak ridges folding down toward the water. DeFore's Landscaping works those slopes and the yards tucked in beneath them, mowing through the growing months, edging the borders true, and carrying off the leaves once the ridges go copper. Winter asks the same ground for something else entirely: blades on the driveways, shovels along the walks, salt worked into the spots where a grade turns slick.
