Two rivers meet at Hersey — the Hersey coming in to the Muskegon — and the old rail grade runs north through the village as a trail now. Neal's Lawn Service LLC keeps the village and the country around it in order, mowing and trimming from the first warm week through fall, then plowing once Osceola County settles into snow that stays put for months. Winter is long up here, and a drive can fill in more than once in a night. Being the reason somebody gets to work on time is a fine way to start a morning.
