Old hardwoods stand over a lot of the yards in Hayes Township, throwing dappled shade that moves across the grass all afternoon. Mowing under them is its own skill: root flares to steer around, thin turf that wants a taller cut, and a canopy that keeps the ground damp long after the open lawn has dried. Two Brothers Tree and Lawn takes that slowly and finishes it close, hand-trimming right up to every trunk so the lawn meets the tree without a collar of ragged grass. Out in the sun the passes go long and straight, and the edges get drawn tight along the drive. Shade or open ground, the yard comes out reading as one piece.
