Hamtramck Lawn Care

About Hamtramck Lawn Care

Snow comes into Hamtramck sideways, funneled down the narrow streets between two-family flats until the alleys behind Caniff fill in overnight. Hamtramck Lawn Care is out in that dark, plowing and shoveling driveways, walks and the back-alley aprons that let a car reach the street by morning, then salting the steps where ice likes to hide. Come April the same routes turn green and the work changes to cutting, trimming and edging on lots you can cross in a dozen paces. Summer on these blocks is loud and close and full of neighbors on porches, so the crew keeps it quick and leaves it tidy. Two very different seasons, one set of streets, learned by heart.
