Late summer on Dixie Highway brings the Renaissance Festival traffic streaming past hayfields and horse fence, and Groveland Township looks most like itself. PMA Landscaping Service works those roads — mowing, trimming, edging walks and drives, and hauling clippings and debris away. The year opens with a cleanup on ground still soft from the thaw and closes with leaves off the lawn in November. In between it is weekly cutting, held to a schedule the grass sets rather than the calendar. A wide lawn mowed even all the way to the fence line is the kind of ordinary beauty worth chasing.
